Qing-Ling Fu Professor The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, China About the Speaker: Clinical Interests: Allergic airway diseases Medical Education Ph.D. The University of Hong Kong (2007) Work Experiences 2009 - Now: Professor, The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University 2016-2017: Visiting scholar, Texas A&M University 2017: Visiting scholar, Johns Hopkins University She got National Natural Science Foundation of Excellent Young Scholar and was approved for New Century Excellent Talent, Ministry of Education in 2013. She has carried out a series of studies on the nasal inflammation. The major findings are as follows: 1.We conducted a cross-sectional investigation and reported the prevalence of chronic sinusitis in China, providing important information for the assessment of the economic burden of chronic sinusitis and the development and promotion of public health policies. 2. We identified the role of immune cells such as group 2. Innate lymphoid cells in the pathology of allergic airway inflammation. 3.We successfully induced mesenchymal stem cells from iPSCs or ESCs and identified the immunomodulation of mesenchymal stem cells on T cells, DC, group 2 innate lymphoid cells, ephithelial cells and airway allergic inflammation and the possible mechanisms. She has authored or co-authored more than 38 SCI publications with 9 (co-)corresponding author and 15 (co-)first authors. She got total of more than RMB 15 millions of the grants such as from National Natural Science Foundation of China. Selected Recent Publications: 1.
